Research Opportunities and Educational Collaboration in

Engineering, Environment and Natural Resources

Research funding is most readily available at the interfaces between disciplines, as national funding agencies encourage interdisciplinary studies. Research universities must adapt to this model to thrive. Similarly, the lines between traditional disciplines are blurring as disciplines evolve through the introduction of new scientific knowledge.  Scientists and engineers in environmentally-related fields are uniquely positioned to collaborate on a broad range of issues, and across numerous interfaces. This presentation will focus on research and educational opportunities in the general field of environmental sciences and engineering, with specific emphasis on earth, atmosphere, climate, water, and the influence of human activities on the environment.
